Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons lactose-free butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet or baking dish
  • 1 Small mixing bowl
  • 1 Chef’s knife

Method

  1. Prepare the Oven
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper.
  4. Season the Salmon
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Season with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Make the Lactose-Free Garlic Butter
  8. Melt the lactose-free butter in a small bowl.
  9. Add the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dried parsley. Stir until combined.
  10. Coat the Salmon
  11. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each salmon fillet.
  12. Make sure the tops of the fillets are well coated so the flavors can infuse while baking.
  13. Bake the Salmon
  14. Bake for approximately 12–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  15. The salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork. For precise doneness, use a food thermometer and follow the recommended temperature for salmon.
  16. Garnish and Serve
  17. Remove the salmon from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Use fresh salmon fillets of similar size for even cooking.
  • Choose clearly labeled lactose-free butter or dairy-free butter.
  • Check packaged seasonings and other ingredients for added dairy.
  • Do not overbake the salmon; cooking time depends on the thickness of the fillets.
  • Add fresh dill, parsley, or thyme for extra flavor
